Dont worry Mr. Rahul. Your decision is correct. There is a huge potential for I&C, especially automation. The future is the era of covergence.

my dear student:

your problem is like my students have, I & C requires 3 stages of experience:

1. instrumentation
2. automation
3. control

1st is when you are in charge of maintenance (predictive or corrective) doing testing and calibrations of the instruments, you should have complete knowledge of the principles of operation of the instruments that measure the process variables i.e. temperature, pressure, level, etc.

2. is when you apply controllers and data adquisition systems.

3. you need experience with the process itself and to know how the algorithms PID affect the process.

You can apply in the most factories smaller or bigger using instruments, around the world.
