I am looking for an explanation of the Mark V Speed Control Block "XTNCB00". This block is used in our Mark V CSP's for Steam Turbine Speed Control. The block has a section related to online and offliine overspeed testing.

Does anyone know how the Primary "Online Overspeed" test works? There is a primary online test trip limit constant (KTNHPOS) that is set for 94%. We have a primary overspeed trip (L12H1) and a backup overspeed trip (L12HO).

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

 

Barry, I am not sure if you are connected with Andrew from NAES? I have been looking at a very similar post from him on the 7EA users group. I don't have a clear answer for the questions relating to the block you speak of in the MKV, but I am studying it trying to compare to the more familiar MKVI o/speed algorithms.
