Referring to "Modbus over serial line specification and... V1.02", is it "mandatory", for "Modbus compliance reasons", to implement all the "diagnostic tools" or only the counters management?! I found only a "must" in Appendix A, paragraph 6.1.2... For example, should I expect to find in any device the "Read Exception Status" or not?
