The RightPick 4 System

RightHand Robotics’ RightPick 4 system is built on earlier versions of the company's RightPick piece-picking solution. The overhauled system is designed to have greater autonomy and reliability. Key advancements include an upgraded sensor suite, enhanced AI-based software algorithms, and redesigned hardware.

RightHand Robotics has trained the Right Pick 4 system by using more than a petabyte of operational data collected from picking tens of millions of items around the world for over eight years. The massive amount of data collected has aided in creating a smarter and more robust solution for the challenges in real-world fulfillment.

Autonomous and Intelligent Piece Picking

Powered by RightPick AI, the RightPick 4 system is always learning and expanding the total set of products that it can successfully pick. With the addition of new hardware, the system can pick up 25% larger and 50% heavier items than its predecessor system, enabling even greater gripping capabilities.

For market verticals like general merchandise, 3PLs, office supplies, pharmaceuticals, clothing, apparel, and cosmetics, RightHand Robotics offers autonomous piece-picking with suction seal quality verification and enhanced smart grip.

Addressing Industry Challenges

According to the Vice President of Product and Marketing at RightHand Robotics, Brendon Bielat, the launch of the RightPick 4 system comes at a critical time when retailers are facing challenges that relate to a shortage of labor and increased demand for more accurate and faster order fulfillment. He emphasizes the ability of the new system to handle these challenges by delivering enhanced autonomy, serviceability, and reliability in its pick-and-place processes.
