Here we are using 1.1KW motor to drive a conveyor which is connected with two sprockets on its either end. I noticed that the motor is drawing same current with load and while its running w/o load. howz that possible...can any one brief it plzzzzzzzz
 
Server... perhaps load carried by conveyor is very small compared to the conveyor itself!

Please provide details, that is: conveyor material (rubber, canvas, steel, etc); type of idler pulleys (with or w/o bearings); width; length; conveyor elevation above (or below) horizontal; weight per unit length of conveyor; weight per unit length of load!

This is to be expected particularly with small 3 phase motors, generally the first effect of increasing load on a motor is the increase in power factor, which is a much more reliable indicate of motor load than the actual current (as measured on a standard meter). Only when the pf is approaching unity will the current start to increase significantly.
