We have 4 Panelview plus 600 HMI that I need to turn on the VNC server for remote access. The firmware version is 5.10.16 which is the latest available firmware from Rockwell. Unfortunately, at the ME configuration screen, there is no "exit" button. The panel also does not have the physical hardware buttons to force a safe boot mode. Any suggestions ?

 

Cycle power to the HMI and during reboot there should be a small grey square that shows up in one of the corners during the power on self test. Press on the grey square and that should take you to the configuration screen.

 

I am able to get to the configuration screen but there is no way to exit to the windows CE desktop from there. I am thinking that this feature was never on for the panelview plus 600.

Could it be that windows CE is logged with a user in kiosk mode?
