Outputting HistData by Tagname not start time

I have a project where we are wanting to output to an excel spreadsheet data from a production run. I need to be able to search the historical data based on the lot number (a "real" number), not just the start time and duration. I have scripts to output to a .csv file, but the standard format only returns results based on the start time and duration. Can I do this from the HistData program or will I need to make a SQL database to store this information and run SQL scripts to pull out the data.

I will a button on the operator's screen that he will press to finish the run which will trigger the script to pull all the data for that run and write a .csv file to the server to be looked at later by a process engineer.

The version is Intouch 9.0
