Can anyone explain me about the different between time inverse over current protection and normal over current protection.

Secondly, What is the normal practice setting for over current protection of generator? Because , i have a generator that set to 168% @ 60Sec for time inverse over current protection. Is that acceptable range?

1) Size of your generator.

2) Is the application one of overcurrent backup?

3) Is the generator operated in parallel with others?

4) Is the generator supplying a plant Load?
