i am working with microcontroller and i will hope communicate with another device using the protocol Modbus.

Written for Microchip PIC, but I daresay you should be able to port this
really easily.

 

definetly you can use modbus protocol to communicate with another device. regarding your source in C i have found some answers in a web site called http://www.sunlux-india.com.

 

I have written modbus rtu C code for my own board based on 68hc9s12dp256.

But it is embedded into a huge project and not moduler. I will make it available at www.motorolab.com if i can clear the modbus code.
