Has anyone had any luck using a fiber extender for data highway II other than DH7751X1-BA2? Didn’t know if any company’s made something new that would work with 5 megabaud IEEE 802.4?

 

We did this last December. We used RELCOM CBR-2 repeaters, which we were able to buy through Process Control Outlet PCO2.COM. It was a real piece of work, since we had the wrong type of fiber pulled. We had to pull multi-mode fiber as we couldn't get any multi to single mode converters to run slow enough.

The Relcom Fiber Optic Repeater is the only modern product confirmed to work as a drop-in replacement for DH7751.
No newer extenders tailored for Data Highway II have appeared recently.
