when trying to go online with a specific routine
(editing a value in tag) I get the following
message. "Failed to go online with the controller,Can't communicate with RS linx."

I have checked all Ethernet connections going to
this controller. The other controllers reached by
this PC are able to go online and be edited. The
above mentioned "faulty" controller is the only one giving me problems. s it possible someone has diabled it in RS linx? Please advise.

 

If RSLinx can't brouse the processor in question, the programming software will not go online. Make sure that you have the correct ethernet IP address in your driver(Communications/Configure Driver)and your computer IP adress is set correctly. Once RSLinx can brouse the processor in question use the Communications Who Active to brouse you processor.
