Hi.
I need help. I built myself a PLC training kit. I bought a bright new Siemens Compact CPU314-2 PtP. I have wired 24VDC to terminal 21, 31 and 0VDC to terminal 30 and 40 on the Output of the DI16/DO16xDC24 Module. Immediately I power the PLC, the following Output LEDs becomes ON 0.0(22), 0.2(24), 0.4(26), 0.6(28), 1.0(32) & 1.2(34).
On the Input side of the same DI16/DO16xDC24 Module, when I test the Inputs of the first bank by bridging the 24DC between 1L+ and any of the following Inputs, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 & 0.9, all the corresponding LEDs of the same Inputs comes ON at the same time.
On the Input side of the same DI16/DO16xDC24 Module, when I test the Inputs of the second bank eight by bridging the 24DC between 1L+ and any of the following Inputs, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 & 1.8, all the corresponding LEDs of the same Inputs comes ON at the same time and the following Output LEDs of the second bank also comes on at the same time 1.4(36) & 1.6(38)
I did the following as a way of solving this problem: -
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: -
• On the Input side of the same DI16/DO16xDC24 Module, when I bridge 24DC between 1L+ and any of the following, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 & 0.6 of the first Input bank all is fine. That is the corresponding LED is the only one that is lighting (ON)
• On the Input side of the same DI16/DO16xDC24 Module, when I bridge 24DC between 1L+ and any of the following, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 & 0.7 of the second Input bank all is fine. That is the corresponding LED is the only one that is lighting (ON)

I did the following as a way of solving this problem: -
- I made a MRES and still the issues stand after doing the Memory Rest.
- The Micro Memory Card was also formatted to delete everything and the issue still stands.
- I made a small Start and Stop program using only one Output and two Inputs and still the issue is still there.
