I am trying to write a vb program that will transfer programs to and from fanuc and other controls. How do I go about it using the mscomm? what do i need to do to have an option of drip feeding the program? What are the difering variables between controls. I have searched long and hard on the internet on this subject to no avail. Once the program is finnished i will probably make it open source for other people in my position to understand.

Go to "http://www.yahoo.com":http://www.yahoo.com or "http://www.google.com":http://www.google.com or any other search engine and type one of the following:

visual+basic+mscomm.ocx
vb+mscomm.ocx
vb+mscomm.ocx+fanuc

inlcude the + (plus) sign in the query.

You will find alot of results and will have to wade through to find what you need.

I have researched for sites on WWW for VB & MSCOMM and include the HTML code. This should help you in your search::

(1) Copy and save the following in a file call
it: VB and MSCOMM.html
