Vibration sensor fault detection.

A small DC current is passed through the sensor at all times (3 ma) is circulated through the sensor at all times to detect a fault in the cable or an open input. Ie if the Dc current value falls below a particular value the health bit goes low.

The answer to this question, and others like it, are found in the Mark VI System Guide, GEH-6421, specifically Vol. II. And can also be found in the Toolbox Help file on newer versions of Toolbox.

Thanks for your reply.

I still have one doubt, this check (sending 3 mA) is used in both Mark IV and Mark VI, or different methods used?

And the health bit only depends on this feedback?
