What is DAIS? Who knows it?

OPC is based on COM/DCOM by microsoft. It's applied to industrial automation control. DAIS is based on CORBA by OMG. I am studying DAIS specification. I want to know more references to DAIS.

Don't know DIAS, but CORBA is a far better protocol to base communication on. It is a guaranteed delivery protocol that works over a much larger variety of systems including Unix and IBM Mainframe stuff. It is even able to make and keep good connections over the internet. Something DCOM can not do well.
