Case Study Overview

Innerspec Technologies developed a highly flexible Twin Robotic NDT System to inspect evolving aerospace components using ultrasonic, eddy current and phased-array methods. The system coordinates 18 motion axes, two robots and multiple positioning systems while accommodating parts weighing up to 3,000 pounds. Beckhoff PC-based control, TwinCAT and EtherCAT integrate PLC, motion, safety, HMI and data communication in one scalable platform, with OPC UA and MQTT providing seamless connectivity to acquisition, analysis and storage systems.
