AutomationDirect Expands ProSense Family With Three New Sensor Series
The new series include magnetic proximity sensors, small bore submersible level sensors, and fixed-range temperature transmitters, all designed to tackle a wide range of industrial applications.
AutomationDirect recently introduced three new additions to its ProSense industrial sensor line: the MAE1 series of 8 mm magnetic proximity sensors, the SBLT series of small bore submersible level sensors, and the XTD2/XTH2 series of fixed-range temperature transmitters. These new sensor series are designed to offer reliable performance and high accuracy, expanding the versatility of the ProSense range and bringing their advanced sensing capabilities across various industries.

MAE1 Magnetic Proximity Sensors
AutomationDirect’s new ProSense MAE1 series of magnetic proximity sensors provides non-contact object detection. They feature a separate damping magnet for installation flexibility, offering long sensing distances of up to 60 mm. The proximity sensors can detect magnets through plastic, wood, non-ferrous metals, and stainless steel walls.
The series is built with a 316L stainless steel housing and features an 8 mm compact tubular flush-mounted design that can be installed to work reliably in tight spaces and challenging industrial environments. To further support a diverse system setup, the MAE1 sensors feature solid-state output (PNP NO) and offer flexible options, including a 2 m pigtail cable or an M8 quick-disconnect connector.
Each sensor model in the series complies with RoHS, CE, and UL standards and is backed by AutomationDirect's lifetime warranty, underscoring the company's commitment to delivering durable, long-lasting sensor solutions.

SBLT Small Bore Submersible Level Sensors
The new ProSense SBLT series of small bore submersible level sensors features enhanced accuracy for measuring water levels in deep wells, standpipes, and narrow boreholes with limited installation space, thanks to their ultra-slim 316L stainless steel housing.
The new sensors feature extended sensing ranges from 23.1 to 461.3 ft of water. For further flexibility, the sensors support cable lengths of up to 500 ft. When it comes to accuracy, the sensor offers a full-scale accuracy of ±0.1%, providing an output of 4 to 20 mA, which is compatible with data loggers, PLCs, and panel meters. A total error band of ±0.25% further ensures accuracy and reliable performance in level measurement even under challenging environments.
The SBLT series is equipped with built-in lightning protection and an IP68 rating, ensuring durability in sensing operations. The series is UL water quality certified and compliant with NSF/ANSI 61 and 372 standards to ensure approval for use in drinking water and environmental monitoring applications.

XTD2/XTH2 Fixed-Range Temperature Transmitters
Beyond level and proximity sensing, AutomationDirect has also expanded its ProSense product line to include the XTD2 and XTH2 series of fixed-range temperature transmitters. These transmitters convert inputs from thermocouples and RTDs into accurate analog signals compatible with PLCs, controllers, and meters.
The XTD2 sensor series features compact DIN rail-mounted signal conditioners that provide precise, isolated temperature outputs and support for a range of monitoring sensor types. These features, paired with a wide temperature range of up to 500 °F for RTD and 2,000 °F for thermocouple, enable users to tailor the sensor solution to fit diverse industrial needs.
The XTH2 sensor series, on the other hand, complements these units with a head-mounted transmitter designed to be directly installed in DIN-form B sensor heads. These new fixed-range models offer a wide temperature range (up to 2,000 °F), providing added flexibility for use in high-heat industrial settings.
Cost-Effective Sensing Solutions
Together, the new MAE1, SBLT, and XTD2/XTH2 sensor series deliver cost-effective sensing options in the ProSense product line. With the growing demand for precision and reliable sensing solutions, the new solutions from AutomationDirect not only stand as a potential choice for system integrators but also ensure that the ProSense product line remains at the forefront of industrial control and measurements.
