Banner Engineering has unveiled three new wireless sensor solutions for condition monitoring: the Q45 wireless pressure sensor, the Q45 wireless dew point sensor, and the S15S temperature and humidity sensor with IO-Link. The new Q45 sensors are built for compressed air systems and the S15S sensor for ambient air conditions. These sensors provide users with real-time data, enabling quick response to improper pressures, temperature fluctuations, and moisture accumulations.

The Q45 Wireless Pressure Sensor

Banner’s new Q45 wireless pressure sensor is designed to prevent overpressurization and identify pressure drops or leaks in compressed air systems. By maintaining the correct pressure levels in a compressed air system, the sensor is designed to reduce energy costs and ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity.

The pressure sensor’s stainless steel 1/4-inch NPT process connection makes for simple installation, and its IP67 rating ensures reliable operation in demanding environments.

For continuous remote monitoring, the wireless pressure sensor can connect to Banner’s DXM1200-X2 IIoT gateway and Cloud Data Services software. Depending on varying wireless needs, however, the new pressure sensor solution is available in 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz variants.

The Q45 Wireless Dew Point Sensor

Banner’s new Q45 Wireless Dew Point Sensor is designed to continuously monitor dew point, temperature, and humidity in compressed air systems. By monitoring these factors, the effects of excess moisture and condensation-related damages like blockage, contamination, and corrosion can be prevented, ensuring high air quality and increased lifespan of equipment.

The new Q45 sensor comes in an easy-to-install package, providing a monitoring solution without needing complex wiring and conduits. The sensor features a standard 1/2-inch stainless steel NPT process connection and an IP67-rated housing.

When it comes to connection, the dew point sensor also works with Banner’s DXM1200-X2 IIoT gateway and Cloud Data Services to provide users with real-time data. Available in 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz models, the Q45 sensor solution caters to different wireless gateway requirements.

S15S Temperature and Humidity Sensor With IO-Link

Banner’s new S15S temperature and humidity sensor with IO-Link offers accurate monitoring of ambient air temperature, humidity, and dew point. The sensor’s compact, rugged, and overmolded design allows for deployment in confined and rugged spaces. Featuring IO-Link communication, the sensor can be seamlessly integrated with industrial controllers like Banner’s DXMR90-4K or DXMR110-8K series.

When connected to a cloud platform, like Banner’s Cloud Data Services, or locally using a PLC or SCADA system, the S15S sensor allows for real-time monitoring, alerting the operator when the monitored conditions exceed the threshold. This alert triggers the control system to activate humidifiers or misters, airflow control actuators, and other devices that can stabilize the environmental condition. The S15S sensor comes with a standard aluminum grill filter cap; however, for extra protection, a stainless-steel filter with 10 µm of sintered material is available as a separate accessory.

Condition Monitoring Solutions

Banner’s newest sensor solutions are a viable option for companies seeking smart and efficient compressed air management and environmental monitoring. With real-time insights, predictive maintenance, and remote monitoring capabilities, industries can reduce costs and improve the overall performance of their systems.
