Dobot Introduces a One-Stop Solution for Palletizing Ease and Efficiency
The new solution enables easy-to-use out-of-the-box palletizing with the DOBOT CR20A collaborative robot, 3D simulation, and a no-programming software.
Dobot Robotics has released a new One-Stop Palletizing Solution that provides operators with features for optimizing diverse palletizing projects across food and beverage, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, semiconductor, and automotive industries. With the new solution, customers can benefit from the autogeneration of palletizing patterns based on product type, a no-code user-friendly interface for drag-and-drop point teaching, visualization, and simulation of pallet stacking configurations.

Traditional palletizing operations can incur hazardous scenarios that pose a threat to worker health and safety. The high labor intensity of the work can cause repetitive strains, and lifting heavy loads can lead to misplacement and subsequent damage to products and equipment. Furthermore, palletizing height and load can be limited with traditional, non-automated manual handling and stacking of goods.
Dobot's new One-Stop Palletizing Solution does not tire like human workers do. Instead, it makes 24-hour operation possible day after day. The palletizing solution is also programmed to generate specific movements and paths that lend a higher degree of accuracy when moving and stacking goods than human workers' performance. Dobot says that after implementing its palletizing solution, customers can expect to acquire a return on investment in eight to ten months.

3D Simulated Palletizing
Businesses can spend a lot of time and worker effort reconfiguring palletizing stations depending on product size, shape, and order weight. Errors can result from a trial-and-error approach and from human workers.
Dobot’s One-Stop Palletizing Solution provides customers with a 3D Simulated Palletizing feature that cuts back on time and effort spent configuring palletizing workflows. This 3D simulation technology enables operators to simulate curated palletizing configurations, test them, and evaluate their performance before real-world implementation. If certain requirements change, workflows can be adjusted virtually, cutting down on the time it would have taken to adjust settings manually.

No-Code Set up and Pattern Configuration
Other attractive qualities of Dobot's latest palletizing solution include a no-code setup, where box transition points and target points can be configured with no programming experience required. This setup eliminates unwanted gaps between boxed goods, enhancing stability and storage. Users can point teach the robot using a drag-and-drop user interface, allowing the robot to plan its movement path without manual, human-guided path planning.
Different industries handle a broad variety of items with different sizes and packaging requirements, each of which requires a unique manufacturing line and stacking technique. Dobot’s One-Stop Palletizing Solution helps improve operational flexibility by providing flexible palletizing patterns that accommodate varying box shapes and sizes. Because stacking patterns are created automatically, manual setup is no longer needed, which speeds up deployment and modifications, making it possible to react quickly to changing demands.
Additionally, the palletizing solution has interlayer plug-in possibilities, enabling the addition of partitions when palletizing. This feature increases stack stability in sectors where preserving stack integrity is crucial, such as the food and beverage industry.

Dual Suction Mode
The One-Stop Palletizing Solution employs the 20 kg payload DOBOT CR20A collaborative robot, which features a 2,100 mm pallet height reach and the ability to palletize 8 to 13 pieces per minute.
Dobot's palletizing solution also incorporates a dual suction mode to provide a way of quickly processing palletized goods with high volume in mind. Two boxes can be handled simultaneously, increasing efficiency by 62.5%, according to Dobot.
