Honeywell has expanded its Guided Work portfolio with the launch of Performance+ for Guided Work, a solution that combines voice recognition, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics. Designed for warehousing, logistics, and industrial environments, the platform captures and analyzes operational data to monitor performance and optimize workflows. By integrating hands-free voice guidance with real-time insights, Performance+ supports workforce development, improves efficiency, and helps organizations adapt operations to meet evolving productivity and growth targets.

Monitoring Interconnected Operations

The day-to-day operations in warehousing facilities include interactions among static equipment, sensors, AI, human workers, robotics systems, and inventory management software. Capturing data from these multiple operational nodes is essential for mapping and optimizing performance, as well as for developing workforce productivity to hit key growth targets aligned with consumer demand. If facilities did not collect these types of data, they would not know how to improve the interconnectivity of hardware and/or software, adapt physical pathways, or workflows to reduce travel time, enhance workflow efficiency, or track workforce productivity in a way that helps identify key areas of improvement for enhancing skills development and the acquisition of innovative productivity-boosting tools.

Honeywell Guided Work Solutions

One key tool offered as part of Honeywell’s Performance+ for Guided Work is the Voice Guided Work solutions, which involve employees in warehousing and logistics environments donning a headset to receive and confirm aural guidance, allowing them to concentrate fully on their manual task. In contrast, traditional RF-based portable devices require workers to continually stop, glance at a display, and juggle a scanner while picking objects. The AI-supported voice recognition built into the headphones accommodates 48 different languages, making it a versatile communication tool and an important enabler of workforce diversification. If businesses are looking for more ergonomic solutions that free up manual handling and boost employee focus during picking operations, the Voice Guided Work solutions are an attractive option.

Let’s look at the headsets themselves in a little more detail. The language options, coupled with a user-friendly design, enable greater usability and more rapid training. Users can benefit from a wireless service with secure encryption, the updated Bluetooth certification, and the ability to update tech remotely.

Customers can also use the SRX3 Wireless Headset in a way that best suits workspace ergonomic requirements, adjusting it to integrate with a standard headband, a hard hat, or a cupped headband configuration. Users can configure the headset to work with previous models, such as SRX2 equipment, enabling operation in a “mixed” environment without replacing current hardware. The SRX3 headset also features a flip-to-mute microphone that lets users turn off voice recognition software by simply flipping the mic boom.

Other Guided Work Solutions Features

Honeywell’s Guided Work solutions include configurable connector solutions for streamlined implementation and integration with no or low-code designs. Honeywell Voice for Maintenance and Inspection provides on-site repair guidelines to technicians, supporting compliance and documentation. Users can manage the Voice solution on-site or via the Cloud, overseeing licensing, managing worker profiles, accessories, devices, and more. Another notable feature is advanced analytics for troubleshooting connectivity issues, mitigating noise, and addressing travel time, delays, and anything that can impede productivity.

Honeywell Performance+ for Guided Work combines the voice-guided solution aspect of the service with analytics so that workers and site managers have real-time data at hand to help adapt operations to meet key performance indicators. This empowers businesses and their employees to work efficiently and meet key strategic goals.
