So exactly what is this DataReady Smart Machines application?
We all know that boosting quality and improving productivity is the continuous goal of every industrial manufacturer. Rockwell Automation’s DataReady is an application for machine-level visualization which is essentially an application that monitors key indicators such as energy consumption right at the machine, process data such as quality inspections or pieces per hour, and diagnostic data to keep up with machine preventive maintenance schedules or repairs. The application was designed to transfer the data between the machine and any external application, like DataMosaix, the Plex Smart Manufacturing Platform, and the Fiix maintenance software to allow for real-time machine visualization.

When integrated with the FactoryTalk Optix portfolio, users can access Rockwell Automation's HMI capabilities, as well as efficiently gather, categorize, and contextualize important data. This integration empowers Rockwell Automation to offer a range of solutions within a unified platform, encompassing five core solutions to extend beyond just a standard HMI.
- FactoryTalk Optix Software
Rockwell Automation’s HMI visualization platform provides users with convenient access through their web browser or by downloading the software to their computer. This versatile software enables multi-user collaboration, web-based design and testing, and seamless integrated version control for efficient and effective project management.
- Optix Panel Graphics Terminal
These are sealed HMI appliances that come pre-loaded with FactoryTalk Optix and FactoryTalk Remote Access software licenses which are meant to reduce risk in implementation and maintenance.
- ASEM 6200 Industrial PCs
The industrial PC lineup is available in box or panel form to allow for greater customization of end-user systems.
- Embedded Edge Compute Module
These modules provide scalability and remote support functions and come with a FactoryTalk Remote Access runtime license already installed.
- FactoryTalk Remote Access Solution
This allows a secure connection to your equipment for real-time monitoring of machines.
FactoryTalk Optix provides users with modern development practices that have been proven to accelerate time to market, reduce overall development costs, and enhance quality. These practices include continuous integration and continuous deployment, automated testing, system simulation, multi-user collaboration, integration with version control systems, and more.
