GE Mark VIe control panel
Dipti prakasha Bhanja, SERIOUSLY. SERIOUSLY???!!!?!?! AC or DC voltage? STRAY VOLTAGE MEASURED WHERE? STRAY VOLTAGE MEASURED WHEN? HOW DID YOU NOTICE THIS STRAY VOLTAGE? WHAT EFFECT IS IT HAVING (IF ANY) ON THE UNIT OPERATION? IS THE MARK VIe POWERED BY A 125 VDC BATTERY? DOES THE MARK...

Gas Turbine turning gear
Just to add to MIKEVI's excellent response, just below this reply box is a list of threads the site's algorithm deemed similar (aptly called 'Similar threads'...). On my current page, there are five (5) threads--all with the words turning gear and gas turbine in them; there's even another thread...

Thanks for the feedback! (Though it would have been nice to understand what prompted you to open the thread by explaining the situation better.)

Power Plant Load and Frequency fluctuation - 3 Steam Turbines - Woodward 505E - Power Plant Connected to the Public Grid.
Kevin Canada, The passages below were lifted from the Woodward 505E 85018V1B manual referenced in the post above; I'm trying to show the answers to your questions are most likely in them manuals provided with the equipment.... The passages in the previous response immediately follow the passage...

Power Plant Load and Frequency fluctuation - 3 Steam Turbines - Woodward 505E - Power Plant Connected to the Public Grid.
Kevin Canada, The passage below was taken from Woodward 505E Manual 85081V1B (the emphasis is mine): "To configure the 505E for generator load control when paralleled to a infinite bus, program the ‘kW DROOP’ setting to ‘YES’, and program the 505E to accept an analog input from a Watt...

Power Plant Load and Frequency fluctuation - 3 Steam Turbines - Woodward 505E - Power Plant Connected to the Public Grid.
Kevin Canada, Thank you for the update. It doesn't help me at all; and I think if anyone reading this had a question or suggestion they would have written by now. I'm not much of a steam turbine person. I don't think I've ever seen a 4.8 MW turbine with an HP and an LP turbine. I have no idea...

GE Mark VI toolbox issue.
Please describe precisely what it is you are trying to do. You say something failed--was it the RTD in the field? Was it the input channel to the Mark VI? Do you just want to replace the RTD in the field? Are you trying to move the RTD input to a different channel in the Mark VI? Be more...

New Mark VI PANEL not in control state
Firmware and topology. VCMIs are very "picky" and want everything to be properly specified and match for proper communications--and IONET comm's are critical to the Mark VI (and VIe as well). Glad to hear you got it resolved! Am I to understand you are going to use this to operate a turbine?

steam turbine overspeed
MattyIce, I actually read it several ways, as above in my response, as in yours, and wondering if the question wasn't that the unit speed was increasing when the control system should not be trying to increase the speed. I've been to sites where the control valve position feedback (from LVDTs)...

steam turbine overspeed
morsy san, You make some very difficult-to-understand claims, for example, you say three sensors (magnetic speed pick-ups--active or passive; or, ???) send a signal that everything is okay and the turbine speed is ok but actually the speed is increasing in the turbine. ... What does that...

No data on Counter/Timer Page on HMI
sirdee90, Have you looked at GEH-6421, the Mark VI System Guide, for information on NVRAM (sometimes referred to as NovRAM)? Have you tried the 'Help' feature of Toolbox to look into NVRAM (NovRAM)? Which processor's UCVx card was replaced? (<R>, or <S>, or <T>) Are there any Diagnostic...

Calibration Management System with Microsoft Access - Easley and Step by Step
So, when I think of "calibration" I think of the devices in a process plant which have to be calibrated prior to installation, or verified periodically, using regularly certified calibration equipument ("testers," or multi-function calibrators, etc.). As examples: pressure transmitters...

Calibration Management System with Microsoft Access - Easley and Step by Step
Acika, What is the purpose of this system? Is it just for keeping track of the calibration equipment? Or for the devices which the calibration equipment will be used for checking/adjusting? Is this for companies providing calibration services?

Please we have some challenge running up our gas Turbine mark vie control
Or, 63HL-1, -2, -3--we don't know what fuel is being burnt. And, there ARE just a lot of unknowns. But, this is only getting worse--on the forum and in real life. People just think that service providers (with "experience") will intuitively KNOW what causes "the problem" and it's not necessary...

MIKEVI, I missed it, too; the model of the control system is in the title. It would be MOST helpful if the original poster would tell us how long after flame is established that the machine loses flame. There used to be a "bug" (for lack of a better word) that I could NOT get Engineering to...
