Naphtha Fuel oil system
Have you asked GE to provide such a system? If so, what was their response? There are many companies who would probably bid on such a job in addition to GE. Wood Group and PetroTech are a couple that come to mind. Depending on where you are in the world, you might try some of the local...

MarkV Idle Too Low How Performance
When did this "problem" start? What happens when you connect a working <I> to the Mark V <C> processor? Specifically, which display are you looking at when you say the "Idle Time" is 23%: the Normal LCC/SLCC display on the keypad, or the Idle Time display accessed through the LCC/SLCC...

MARK-V (IDOS) Historian Installation
If the Historian is operating on an MS-Windows-based PC using OSIsoft PI then it should be similar to this response. But, it's unclear what the "crash" was in the original posting. Did the hard drive die? Did PI die? Did the ARCnet/StageLink connection die? What happened immediately before...

GE MS5001 Gas Turbine Cooling Air
What does the supplier of the "New Technology" upgrade that eliminated the exhaust frame cooling air to improve performance say about the repeated cracking? How is the cracking repaired? Does the cracking extend into the hot gas path area? Is this negatively impacting operations...

black start diesel generator
Sort of by definition, a "black start" diesel generator is not connected to any grid or synchronized with other power generating units when it's started or running because it's supplying electrical power under emergency conditions to a load (building or site) that has been isolated/disconnected...

mark v start seq
I meant to say that L1XY is only used once in the bit of code that you sent; it's also used in the same CSP segment, SEQ_TRB1, in rung 239, but we don't know what that rung is/does. It would be so much easier (at least it would seem to be so much easier) if we knew the issue(s) you are(were)...

mark v start seq
missionman, It would be really helpful if you could tell us the problems you are experiencing with the control system, or the problems you are having understanding this bit of code (sequencing). To make matters worse, some of the Longnames (the descriptions of the signal names) are not...

P4 as MARK-V <I>
There has been a lot written about using non GE-certified PCs as CPUs for <I>s running IDOS on control.com. In the far right corner of the menu bar at the top of every control.com page is a 'Search' field, and to the right of that a '?' for Search Help. The Search function here takes a little...

That would be possible <b>if, and only if</b> you provide the coil names of the rungs from 37 to 48 and the CSP segment file they come from, just as was asked in the original reply. OR, since the CSP is an ASCII text file, you can copy and paste them into your response. Open the CSP.PRN file...

GE Frame 51P fail to ignite
One of the purposes of adjusting the null bias would be to make the actual value being controlled by the servo-operated device be closer to the reference value. So, for a LFBV without LVDTs, the actual value would be flow divider feedback and the reference value would be liq fuel flow-rate...

Communication problem between HMI and Mark-V
What happened immediately before the loss of communication? Did someone do a MKVMAKE and download to the panel? Did someone download from a different HMI to the Mark V and then download to the panel after doing a MKVMAKE? Did someone try adding or deleting a point to the CIMPLICITY project on...

GE Frame 51P fail to ignite
Hi, Gemi, This is the second post you've made providing very little in the way of useful information in the original posting and without much data to use to analyze the problem/event. In the 9FA post, you've admitted that there was a failure to make copies of Trip Log files and there's not...

While this is a simple concept it's very much a function of many parameters which can appear to complicate matters, especially when one can’t use graphs and charts and sketches to make points. And I’ve used as much maths as necessary because we’re just dealing with concepts here, not complete...

I don't believe the originator asked about converting from microns/sec, rather from microns. In vibration monitoring, displacement systems, like the Bently-Nevada system, usually express vibration in very simple "distance" measurements. It seem the originator is trying to convert from...
