Can anyone enlighten me on the difference of these 2 SCADA/HMI software ? Apart from IFix is suitable for pharmaceutical usage (due to FDA CFR Part 11)and Cimplicity is not , I dont see any big difference.

These packages are similar in function, but quite diferent in implementation. GE Fanuc targets CIMPLICITY at discrete manufacturing applications; their Tracker application has allowed them to compete successfully in this arena. iFix, as you mention, has features that allow it to be applied in pharma, food & beverage. Also, independent system integrators are more familiar with iFix than CIMPLICITY. Other GE divisions tend to use more CIMPLICITY, since it has been part of the GE family longer (e.g. Turbine HMI).
