The old motor used a 15 mic run cap. the new motor requires a 10 mic.
Can a 15 mic be used in this application??

Chris... to properly answer your question additional information is required:

1) What is the nameplate data for each motor, that is, as Volts, Amps, Speed?

2) Are they Split-Phase Capacitor-Start?

3) Are they Permanent Split-Phase Capacitor-Run?

4) Are they Two Capacitor-value Motors?

5) Are they equipped with an auto-transformer to provide the effct of a two-cap motor, that is, a large value during "Start-Mode" and then a smaller value during "Run-Mode?"

6) Are the motors reversible?

7) Are capacitors electrolytic? Oil-filled? Epoxy-cast?

8) What is rated voltage of each capacitor?

9) Finaly, what is the applicatio?
