i am an electrical engineer. i have given a work to erect a 400 kv transmission line from our cpp to 26 km away power grid. i am freshly joined. kindly guide me how to do that. like how much gap should i leave between two phases. between phases and counterpoises. clearances between ground and conductor. distance between two towers etc....

Although all this information is available on internet as well as in your Basic Electrical Engineering Text Book, Yet i shall advice you that if you have no past experience of such a project then clearly tell your Boss "NO".

Sometimes we fear for losing Job for such "NO" to the Boss. But it is more better than doing wrong calculations for such a project. More over high voltages have no excuse for novice designers.
