Does anyone have any knowledge of the BEAD CT 3.68 HMI. I have one on a gas compressor and the battery has failed and it has lost the program. Horner who now own the bead brand have provided the programming software and I have opened the archive program but don’t know the connection “pin out” for the serial comms to download the program to the hmi and Horner do not have this. Any help or information on what I need to make up a programming lead would be greatly appreciated. There is zero information on this online.

 

From the markings on the unit, the BEAD CT v3.68 uses RS-232 on the SERIAL PORT terminals. To program it, connect TX+ to PC RX, RX+ to PC TX, and 0V to ground using a standard USB-to-RS232 adapter; RTS/CTS are usually not required. Start with Serial Port 1 and common baud rates (e.g., 9600 or 19200).
