new to this forum so hopefully I will ask the correct questions to get an answer.

Having trouble with an AB Powerflex 700 (11kw) drive with starting under load, but not excessive. Drive is trying to start but is showing that it is being current limited and the output Hz is around half the required. Ramp time is around .6 sec. Any suggestions as to how I can increase the starting torque?

 

Torque = current.

Hi Ferris,

If load is not excessive for the drive, you probably have an incorrect motor control mode (Sensorless? FVC?) for the load and/or incorrect tuning parameters for that control mode.

If the application is heavy duty application then please select senseless vector control or FVC mode and do rotational auto tuning
