I have an air tube to a DP gauge that I want to purge periodically with air. I can hook up an air solenoid and timer to a tee in the line and push air though to accomplish this. However, I want to close the air tube to the gauge off at the same time. Basically, blowing air in only one direction. So, I need a fast-acting valve that can work in conjunction with the purge to stop the flow of air to the gauge. I considered simply another solenoid valve that would close but I can't find one that will work without compressed air. I could use an electric ball valve, but I'd rather have something that works faster. Any input is appreciated.

A direct acting electrical solenoid valve requires no differential like a pilot operated electrical solenoid valve does.

Something like a direct acting solenoid like an ASCO 8262 series. A pressure gauge does not need a high Cv because there's virtually no flow through the impulse tubing.
