will conduct the 2nd IASTED International Multi-Conference on Automation, Control and Information Technology - ACIT 2005 from June 20 to June 24, 2005 in Novosibirsk, Russia.

PURPOSE
The 2nd International Multi-Conference on Automation, Control and Information Technology (ACIT 2005), sponsored by IASTED and the Russian Academy of Sciences - Siberian Branch, will act as a major forum for international scientists, engineers, and industry practitioners to present the latest research, results, ideas, developments and applications in all areas of automation, control, and information technology. It aims to strengthen relations between industry, research laboratories, and universities. ACIT 2005 will be held at the House of Scientists in Novosibirsk, Akademgorodok, Russia.

ACIT 2005 will also feature:
Demonstrations of Practical Applications designed by the institutes of the Siberian Branch of the RAS and Russian firms. A contest between Russian firms in the field of IT and instrument-making.

SCOPE
This conference will be comprised of the following 4 Symposia:
SYMPOSIUM 1: AUTOMATION, CONTROL AND APPLICATIONS
SYMPOSIUM 2: COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
SYMPOSIUM 3: SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
SYMPOSIUM 4: SIGNAL AND IMAGE PROCESSING
