dear forum

here is my requirement. i have to control a 8 relay array from my PC. PC VB program has 8 switches and i need a USB based PIC 18F445 for controlling those relays...

so the communication between the PIC and PC should be via USB. this is my requirement

i can build the PIC circuit very easily. but the problem is i don't know how to make communication between PC based on USB.

You will need to program both the PC and the PIC to talk via USB.

On the PIC end, Microchip offers some PIC libraries (free), so you won't have to write them from scratch.

On the PC end, if you're using Visual Studio, I'd start by checking to see if any free libraries there, as well.
