Can anybody pls let me explain a CT switching relay is? for wat purpose used? Also how it functions?

I have not heard that term but it sounds as though you have high and low range CTs on the same condutor to a meter.

With CTs you musn't open circuit the secondary so I immagine you have both secondaries in series with contacts that short out the one not required.

CT switching is mainly used in bus bar protection system to identify the bus, which feeder is connected to it. This method is used by ABB. CT switching relays take the input from isolator contact and accordingly close the contacts to allow the CT current to bus bar relay.
 
Raj Kishor... I believe you have confused ABB's CT-series, DIN-rail mounted relays with ABB's programmable, digital-type protective relays that are used for station busbar protection!
