HI FRIENDS.

I AM AN I&C ENGINEER IN A POWER PLANT. WHEN MY MARKV IS SHUTDOWN & WHEN IT IS RESTARTED I AM GETTING MANY UNWANTED OR IRRITATING ALARM PRINT OUTS IN MY MARKV PRINTER. SO CAN ANY OF U SEND THE DOS COMMANDS WHICH WILL BE HELPFUL FOR ME TO ERASE MARKV PRINTER MEMORY. MAIL ME IN [email protected] WAITING FOR UR REPLY...

In Mark V <I> processor there is a command LOGGER FLUSH. By executing this in DOS prompt (if given in menu, select from menu), all old stored data in print queue will be flushed out. Ensure that we put the printer in offline or off while doing so.

Shutting down a Mark V is kind of unusual, but, hey...every site is different!

If you are going to be shutting down your Mark V, I suggest you shut off the printer first, and then "shut off" the Mark V. Then, on the <I> exit to a command prompt and type the following command, then press ENTER:

LOGGER FLUSH

You can do this from any prompt/drive/directory.

Then "re-start" the Mark V, with the printer powered down, and when all the processors are back at I/O Status A7, exit to a command prompt and execute the same command as above, then power-up the printer.

That should prevent wasting reams of paper, FRIEND.
