Hello Members,

I'm looking for energy-saving solutions to apply in the field of high-capacity drives (100 - 450 kW), or other inventions which affect the reduction of electricity consumption in the industry. Does anyone of you has proved an interesting solution in this area? Regards.

TO: sd_tychy,

Yes, there is a Drive Voltage Stabilizer which lowers the peak voltage from the spikes generated by the switching transistors in a drive as well as reducing harmonics at all frequencies.

This has been proven to reduce the kW, kVA, amperage, peak voltage, improve power factor, reduce motor operating temperature, extend motor life and remove the 100’ motor power cable limitation.

Typically there is a 8% energy reduction.

You can read the details and actually watch a live video online.

The website link is: http://www.Phaseback.com

I hope this helps,

I'd assume that if we had we'd be busy out publicizing it for money, benefit to the planet, etc, not waiting here to tell it to you for free after letting it languish all this time.

If you're interested in saving energy in drives, educate yourself about them first.

Specifically, learn where wasted energy goes in a drive, how big are the losses relative to each other and to the gross amount of energy being processed by the drive. Then the feasibility of a marked advance in the design can be evaluated and the most promising direction for research can be found.
