We are using S7 414-4H CPU with Master slave configuration. Could anyone tell me the memory card use for this is it volatile or nonvolatile? As i did not find in the manual and i am novice too? If we power off the CPU then whether it needs to download the program again?

Another question is what is the block no which is reponsible for synchronised operation?

I just went thru ur comments & just was interedted to know how good this PCS7 is?? We have recently placed order on siemens for 417CPU & with total redundant package. Can u just tell me whether this has the real features of DCS when compared to Yokogawa or ABB or Emerson or Honeywell.
