Dear Sir,
We have three hydrogen cooled Gts in Essar power of frame 9E. We just finished our Major Inspection in GT-1 after that there is high vibration observed in generator bearings it goes up to 6-7mm/sec in MI. We replaced seals with new one but there is hydrogen pressure drop in generator at the rate of 5 psi. in whole day normally there is 3 psi pressure drop. After that on one night seal oil drain enlargement tank high level alarm came. For that we bypass float trap at that time we saw foam formation in float trap view glass. We conclude from that may be seals are passing for that we took shutdown of GT-1 & check seal adjustment & at the same time we did rotor balancing. After that vibration reduced to 4mm/sec but still foam observed in float trap view glass at 81-85% speed. Now please suggest us that how we can reduce h2 leakage.
