Dear all, does anybody knows where to download the hdd or hhd Hart files of the DVC6020 Positioner in order to import them manually to our 475 Field Communicator? The problem is that the 475 is obsotete and cannot connect to Emerson's Database.Thanks in Advance!

 

Did you mean DVC6200?

Every DD available seems to be at the link below (using the search on that page), but I have no idea which is 475 compatible.

Dear David,thanks for your reply.The model is DVC6020 for sure.But the problem is that the dd's on the link that you sent me are not compatible with the 475 communicator!

You need to contact the Global Service Center of Emerson to get the correct descriptor for your H475. The phone number is on the Emerson website. They are the one who can help you. You just need to tell them the serial number of your device... Also, you can still use your H475 to connect to DVC 6020 using generic dd and it works fine

What do you mean by saying generic dd's? is it possible to attach them here in order to give a try? the 475 can only load dd files with the *.hhd or *.hdd extension.

 

When you connect H475 to your DVC valve, it will warn you that there is no dd for your specific device. But you can still use that H475 to communicate with the valve. Just continue. It will use a generic dd that is close to the instrument that you are trying to work on...

 

No..that method doesn't work..At least to DVC6020 positioner..
