histdata / rundata

I have lots of .alg & .idx files from an InTouch v7 installation. I want to get the values of a few sensors at every data point over a few months out these files. I do not have a working install of InTouch 7 - am working on this!

Is histdata the program I need to get working is is there another way of reading the data out the history files? Should I be looking at different files?
