IEC61850 to Modbus TCP Conversion

I am looking at a distributed power system with a number of ABB REF-615 IEDs. I need to interface these to a PLC system using Modbus TCP for reading measured values.

The majority of the REF-615 units have Modbus TCP capability, so comms & integration is relatively straightforward and I have connected successfully to these and can receive the required data. However a few of the REF-615 units only have IEC61850 comms. For these, I am looking at using a IEC61850 to Modbus Gateway eg Moxa MGATE 5192. (The PLC I am using supports Modbus TCP, but no IEC61850 module available)

Has anybody any experience of interfacing to ABB REF-615 IEDs via IEC61850 MMS? I have a few initial questions :-
i. What configuration is required in the REF-615 - do I need to set up Client-Server Comms Config via PCM600 software?
ii. From what I can see, the Moxa Gateway requires a SCL file for comms definition. Where do I get the SCL file from? Is this created in PCM600 Software? Presumably it is specific to the particular REF-615 config in use.
iii. Does anybody have any experience of Moxa MGATE 5192 gateway or is there anything better out there?
iv. Does anybody know whether a non Modbus ABB REF-615 can be upgraded to give Modbus Protocol or is this a factory fitted option only.

Any help / tips on the above greatly appreciated.
