That's correct ken. B&R PLC/motion platform is one of the best for motion related things. And supports most of IEC1131-3 languages and also ANSI C. So you can implement complete motion application in C in same CPU or u can use multiple CPUs in same base plate.

I worked with this PLC/motion system for long time and things good for motion related things.

I have used the majority of controls available today, from Delta Tau, Mitsubishi, Siemens, AB ControlLogix, and G&L. I have been doing high end motion control for over 20 years. The only control I will now consider is G&L Motion Control. I can go from installed and wired to motion running in for less time then it takes to load the software and drivers for the Delta Tau boards, not worth the effort.
