Hi Everybody:

I have an old Wonderware Intouch 7.1 in my comp. There is no Symbol Factory in it. Is there anyway I can install symbol factory from intouch cd without uninstalling my old installation?

i have a intouch 9.0 cd; it says i have to uninstall the old one to install the new version...

when i goto configure--->activex/wizard, the search does not bring up anything either from the cd or from the installation...

there's no activeX control installation as shown in this site:

I take it you do not have the 7.1 cd's?

The link you have shown, is for Software Toolbox ActiveX. The Symbols Factory with Intouch were licensed from Reichard Software and part of the productivity pack, and installed separately. And they appear to be version dependant. Is the ActiveX Controls installed in the Wizard Installation?

 

I think that Symbol Factory for version 7 of InTouch was on a separate CD called Productivity Pack.

You would be best to uninstall V7 and install V9 which has Symbol Factory included in the install options.
