We need to measure flow of varnish (compound used to prepared printer´s ink). We know that Coriolis flowmeter is good option but expensive to this customer.

Can anyone suggest us other flow technology?

Depending on the viscosity of the varnish, there are a number of other very good options available such as inexpensive gear meters. In addition we manufacture Laminar Flow Element (LFE) meters for such applications.

Hi,

You might want to have a look at the following site,
they have agents worldwide so it should not be a problem to obtain this equipment.

We are going this way, as the cost of a Mass Flow
compared to this type of flow meter is approx 10 times the cost..

Let us know how you go.

You could probably try an averaging pitot tube for this application depending on viscosity and line size. Feel free to shoot me an email if you would like more info.

Depending wether the liquid is water-based (electrolytic conductive), which might not be the case, look at www.flowmeter.be. They manufacture low cost accurate small magnetic flow-meters.
