I have MARK VI system. Having controller UCVG and its TMR system. In .m6b file i found diagnostic alarm present for UCVG card in all three processors. The alarm is " error code : 95, status :1, The dynamic data recorder was unable to process the requested command. Update the dynamic data recorder".

I try to reset it but it was not reset. Still showing status 1.
Our machine is running normally. and designated process is "R" Showing in .M6B on line.

Please any one give me the feedback to resolve this alarm. What are the causes for generating above mention alarm?

What can i do for normalizing the same alarm.

Thanks in advance.

Dear UJ,
I would ask if someone changed the configuration of the Dynamic Data Recorder, but did not update the configuration in the controller? This alarm should not have just shown up by itself. The recorder can be updated without downloading the application code so it "should" be ok to do online. This alarm will have no effect on turbine operation, only that the DDR may not be collecting history for you. If you refer to the help section it has a good description of the Dynamic Data Recorder, and should help you resolve this problem.

Kindly send me the procedure for do it online.

UJ, the best way to understand how is to refer to the MKVI help section on the dynamic data recorder. Basically you need to validate the complete .m6b file (highlight the G1 or whatever is at the top of the tree in the left pane. Then either select device-download-update dynamic data recorder, or use the icon that looks like a white cassette tape on the taskbar next to the download icon. Save the .m6b file, and then attempt to clear the diagnostic on the UCVG cards through toolbox. That should do it.

Good evening...!!!!!!!!

as per yr instruction i did.
first i validate .........it show validation complete with 0 error.
Then i go to device/download/update.....
then we show following message.....

Build completed 1 records with 0 errors.- SUCCESS
Sending G:\M6B\G1_DDR.pcd to 192.168.101.111/usr/apps/uc2k.ddr
Download of G:\M6B\G1_DDR.pcd complete.
Expanding dynamic data recorder.....
Unable to start dynamic data recorder - Undefined sys return status 106.
still ucvg card having diagnostic alarm staus 1 persist.

kindly give advice to solve this problem........

thanks in advance.

regards,
uj

I think you've got a pretty obscure problem; I duplicated it by setting a sample rate for the DDR equal to or greater than 1.0 seconds. The sample period is calculated by multiplying the frame rate of the controller by the period multiplier for the DDR, and is shown in the summary when you have the DDR selected in Toolbox. I have no idea why this restriction exists, and Toolbox really should generate a validation error for it. The Mark VIe doesn't seem to have the same restriction.

As a side note, debugging this sort of thing is easier with a serial cable and terminal client plugged into the controller, as over the terminal it spits out the much more helpful error, "DDR_MGR: Sample period xxxx must be less than or equal to 1.0 secs".
