Hi,
We have 3 gas turbines of GE Frame 6 MK IV Speedtronics controls. Now a days the control cards of MK IV are failing more frequently leading our inventory is exhausted.

How ever we are on our way to go for retro fit for MK VIe to the m/cs in place of existing MK IV Speedtrohnics. Can you suggest till we complete the retrofit of MK VIe, Were do we get the spares of MK IV speedtronics control cards?

The cards are HSAA, HAIC and several others.

This is somewhat unusual. There could be several reasons for an increased card failure rate, but since that doesn't seem to be of concern there are at least two sources of Mark IV Speedtronic cards: GE, and Gas Turbine Controls Corporation (GTC).

Yes; GE appears to be still selling refurbished Mark IV cards through their Control Solutions operation. The trick is to find a sales source for this operation.

GTC has been an advertiser on control.com, and has a website: www.gasturbinecontrols.com.

Hi, I am the Product Line Leader for Power Gen at GE Measurement and Control.

With limited information my only guess on the increased failure rate would be a ground fault. Has there been any recent work done that would have affected field wiring?

In answer to your question on the spare parts, GE Energy is the sole supplier of "Genuine GE Parts". We can provide refurbished turbine control cards under its Remanufactured and Exchange offerings. Repair and Return Services are also available using OEM components. All cards are repaired/refurbished to the latest revision level possible and come with a full GE edge-to-edge warranty. GE Energy provides these products and services to a significant portion of our power generation and heavy industrial customers throughout the world.
