I'm asked to build a system from several PID controllers (Multi loop) and paperless recorders all connected through PROFIBUS with two PC.

Is there any one have experience with good and cheap Multi loop PID controller?

 

Check out Red Lion Controls and their new Modular Controller. I have had success with paperless recording feature by making use of the compact flash slot and with their web enabled features.

 

I think the combination of the requirements you have, Profibus, multi-loop, Paperless recorder,etc can be filled by one device
