I want to buy some instruments such as temperature gauge, thermocouple, thermo resistance, pressure gauge, pressure transmitter.

But I found there is no such products in NEMA. Maybe NEMA has no standard for there products, doesn't it? If there is , give me some vendor please. Any information will be appreciated, thanks.

 

ISA is a much better source for instrument standards.

 

NEMA is not the standards making authority for instruments and automation in North America. ISA fills that slot for ANSI. ISA has over 100 standards on instrumentation, valves and controls as well as batch, continuous process, manufacturing and safety.

If NEMA standards are not for process instruments. I think it is out of reason that the customer want to buy the instruments in NEMA.

I knew nothing about NEMA, thanks for all the reply.

 

The customer may be asking you about the NEMA RATING on the instrument enclosures. That's different. For convenience we use either the NEMA rating system or the IP rating system, which are mostly equivalent.
