Please tell me how P&F make isolator for transmitter model no KFD2-STC4-Ex1 can be connected with digital indicator. since we are getting 24 VDC in o/p terminal no 7 & 8, But in Indicator i/p voltage range is 10 VDC.

 

The P&F KFD2-STC4-Ex1 is a single channel 'smart' DC power supply and I/S barrier in a single package. The stated model number has an output on the 'safe' area side that is 0/4-20 mA capable of driving a load of 0-800 Ω.

If your indicator, presumably on the 'safe' side, requires a 0-10V dc input signal, then you can drive the 0-20ma output signal from the P&F through a 500 ohms of resistance, which you connect across the indicator's analog (+) and (-) inputs. Ohms Law applies. Any deviation from 500 ohms is a proportional error.

 

thank u david. our problem solve bcoz indicator need 1-5 V our transmitter o/p 4-20 mA. Connect a shunt of 250 ohm across indicator terminal and its shows correctly.
