Pnuematic and Electric Panel Segregation

Why is it good practice to segregate pneumatics and electrics in proces/industrial control panels i.e. piping and cabling run in separate trunking within panel?

off hand -

1. it's common practice and some places it's a code requirement, so there are probably good reasons for it that might not be obvious at a casual glance.

2. you definitely want to keep liquids from passing through electrical boxes and sometimes tubing has liquids in it

3. allows the guy working on the pnuematics not to have to worry so much about getting electrocuted

4. often times the exhaust from pnuematics has oil in it and it can make the inside of an electrical box have this nasty film of oil all over the place
