244 lights 40W, 240V, 50Hz, in parallel.
Choke 40W, 240V, 50Hz, 0.41A, P.F. 0.50.

When i calculate for my capacity do i need to include the choke? What size of capacitor is suitable to correct my power factor to unity?

 

The correct capacitor will have equal reactance with your choke. For example a 50Kva choke would require a 50 Kvar capacitor for resonance. The following links have examples and a calculator program for sizing capacitors at any frequency.
