Is there any standard method for restoring process loads after power failure.

In the plant(Oil refinery) there are 10Nos motor loads which are performing different operation asper process needs. Customer needs to restore this loads automatically after a power failure. Please give some inputs on process load restoration,i am very new to process project.

We are planning to suggest a priority based load restoration for this. Where operator shall give process load priority and time delays from HMI and a controller performs restoration operation. Will this be suitable..?

I did a project with a PLC having retentive memory. The PLC was controlling a batch process.The process has 17 different sub-processes before raw material was converted into final product.

Due to sudden Power failure whole batch and related chemicals have to be discarded.

The owner requested to restore the process as from where as it was before Power Failure.

So retentive memory of PLC system was used to restore the process as soon as Power is established after failure.
